A South King Fire and Rescue firefighter was injured on Fourth of July while battling a house fire. Fire started by fireworks destroyed a machine shop in the Everson area early Sunday, July 5, but firefighters were able to save a nearby barn and home. A Connell man has been arrested in connection with the murders of two people found badly burned in a remote part of Franklin County. Prudencio Flagos-Ramirez, 25, has been booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder, Sheriff Jim Raymond confirmed Saturday. He was originally arrested on unrelated charges hours after the adult and child were found down a ravine near Scootney and Hendricks roads, Raymond said.
