The purpose of the Fire Mechanics Section is to promote standardization of fire apparatus and equipment preventative maintenance, improve safety standards and practices, promote workshops, conferences, and seminars related to the purposes of this Section, and to promote cost savings through standardization of building and equipment purchasing and maintenance.

Twice as Nice: Hialeah (FL) Fire Rescue Holds Pair of Ceremonies

Hialeah (FL) Fire Rescue recently held a pair of ceremonies: One for the opening of its Station 9 and a push-in ceremony for its Engine 5.

Engine 5 is a 2021 Pierce Saber that has a 700-gallon tank, holds 20 gallons of foam, a 1,250-gpm pump, and a Cummins L9 engine.

Zoneton (KY) Fire Department Reveals Santa Truck 2021

Wednesday evening, for the 24th consecutive year, the Zoneton (KY) Fire Department debuted its Santa Truck.
