Fire Station 4 is in the design phase and is slated to open in mid 2020, according to a press release.  

QCFMD recently welcomed 14 new firefighters who completed Fire Academy 18-2. The new firefighters provide the necessary staffing levels to operate four fire stations.

Two firemen were on duty at the time when the tornado hit, fortunately both men remained safe by hunkering down in one of the bath tubs in the fire station.

Jack Tibbs, Mayor of the City of Eufaula, says "It's amazing the amount of devastation a storm can do. Again, no injuries whatsoever...everyone has been accounted for. All this stuff can be fixed...we're thankful for that."

It's all thanks to a grant from the Department of Homeland Security and the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. Captain Billy Jones said he’s proud of the department taking giant leaps forward.

The company who NLRFD purchased the AEDs from, just updated the technologies for themselves in October, so North Little Rock is one of the first departments in the nation to be able to put this one particular AED in service.
