Boise Fire officials will hold a grand opening Friday for the Department's new Fire Training Center, located on West Joplin Road. The center will allow for live fire training, which "is not only important for new firefighters, it also important for veteran firefighters as they continue to hone their skills through training and exposure to a variety of scenarios," said Boise Fire Department spokeswoman Char Jackson.

Fremont Buys 2 New Fire Trucks

FREMONT, CA - The Fremont Fire Department is showing off its new equipment to protect residents. The fire department has two new Pierce Quantum Type 1 Pumpers. The fire trucks are capable of pumping 1500 gallons of water per minute. The new trucks are expected to last more than 20 years.

Firetruck catches fire at Camp Jackson fire station

A Camp Jackson firetruck caught fire inside the fire station Sunday afternoon. Crews at the station found heavy smoke inside the front bay at about 1:02 p.m, Assistant Chief Sharon Davis said. They were able to start the truck and pull it outside away from the other equipment.
