Toxic Chemicals Found in Water of Some New Hampshire Fire Departments

At least four New Hampshire fire departments have found an elevated level of toxic chemicals known as PFCs, either in their drinking water or in nearby monitoring wells.

Orlando Buys Solar Energy for Fire Stations

When alarms and lights go off at Orlando's fire stations from now on, they will be powered by electricity - symbolically at least - from the city's newest solar plant. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said today the city will subscribe to nearly five megawatts of electricity generated by the Orlando Utilities Commission solar plant in east Orange County.
