Ceres (CA) Fire Apparatus in Collision En Route to Accident

A Ceres Fire Department truck was on its way to an injury accident scene on Monday when it was involved in a separate traffic collision. Firefighters were heading to the scene of an accident on southbound Highway 99 at Whitmore Avenue, authorities said. The first accident included a vehicle that had rolled over.
The firetruck was on Mitchell Road and stopped because traffic was backed up from the first accident. A vehicle failed to stop and struck the vehicle behind the fire truck, which then was rear-ended, authorities said.

DuBois (PA) Fire Department Helps Small Virginia Fire Company

DuBOIS - DuBois Volunteer Fire Department responded to an unusual rescue call this weekend. The fire department helped an out-of-state fire company that needed assistance. The five DuBois fire companies sorted through their old, unused equipment and gear and loaded it into a trailer Saturday to be transported to a small fire station in Virginia.

One Dead in Joelton (TN) Crash Involving Nashville Fire Department SUV

Authorities say one person is dead and another is seriously injured following a crash involving a Nashville Fire Department vehicle in Joelton. The wreck was reported just after 8 a.m. at 5335 Whites Creek Pike, according to authorities. Nashville fire spokesman Brian Haas said the person who died was a civilian.

Haas said the fire department employee was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for serious but stable injuries.

Greenville (NC) Gets Hybrid Ambulance-Fire Truck

One Eastern Carolina city has a new vehicle that can respond to any type of emergency call, while reducing response time. Greenville Fire/Rescue unveiled its pumper transport vehicle this morning. It's a combination fire truck and ambulance. As Greenville firefighters are trained for both EMS and fire service, Chief Eric Griffin says the new truck can cover any emergency.
