Chris Higgins Named Telgian Fire Safety President

Phoenix, Arizona, November 15, 2022 – Telgian CEO James Tomes recently announced the appointment of Chris Higgins as President, Telgian Fire Safety (TFS). In this position, Higgins will maintain strategic and operational responsibility for all TFS business operations.

Higgins brings over 30 years of successful experience leading high-impact, operational initiatives to the company. He is highly skilled in the development and implementation of operations strategy, continuous improvement, and performance metrics.

Higgins also specializes in team building of geographically dispersed teams, leadership development, and maximizing the use of employee engagement strategies. His initiatives result in high performance teams, a strong organizational culture and exceptional customer service, driving customer satisfaction and employee standards of excellence to new levels.

A US Navy veteran, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Navy accredited courses from Texas Tech University. In addition to his position at Telgian Fire Safety, he is also a lifetime member of AMVETS Post IL 14.

Brooklyn FDNY Apparatus, Station Shot Up in Street Gunfight

A shootout in the street in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn resulted in bullets striking the firehouse and Engine 283 early Monday.

The company had just returned to quarters after responding to a fire on East 78th Street in Canarsie, the Unifored Firefighters Association reported via Twitter.

The bullets from a fight outside penetrated the apparatus’ driver door and entered quarters.

“We call on the leaders of NYC to do what must be done to take back the streets for all New Yorkers and to put an end to the REIGN of criminal and unlawful activity NOW!”

Man Walks into Atlanta Fire Station After Shooting, Police Say

Atlanta Police are investigating after a man walked into a fire station critically hurt from a shooting Monday, 11alive.com reported.

He walked into Fire Station 10, 447 Boulevard in southeast Atlanta, with a gunshot wound just after 6:45 p.m., authorities said.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, had managed to drive himself to the fire station, according to police. A fire engine rushed him to Grady Hospital, authorities said, where he was listed as critical, according to the report.

Police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident and said they did not have any other details to share, the report said.

Denver Fire Station No. 2 Hit by Bullets

The Denver Police Department is investigating after a fire station was hit with bullets on Sunday, KDVR.com reported.

Denver police said numerous shots were fired near Denver Fire Station No. 2 near East 53rd Avenue and North Memphis Street around 11:21 p.m., the report said.

The fire station was occupied at the time, and it was hit by bullets, the report said. No injuries were reported.

A Denver police officer was also in a marked police vehicle near the station at the time the shots were fired, according to the report.
