SJ Fire Engine Records Shed New Light on Video of Bikini-Clad Woman Leaving Truck and Entering Strip Club

Internal records from the San Jose Fire Department are shedding new light on a stunning video that surfaced last month showing a bikini-clad woman climb out of a fire engine and walk into the Pink Poodle, a well-known strip club in town, NBCBayArea.com reported.

The social media video immediately sparked controversy and prompted an internal investigation, the report said. The department’s union said at the time it “does not condone what was seen on video” and Mayor Sam Liccardo promised accountability if the investigation revealed misconduct, according to the report.

Summit Fire & EMS Board Selects a Design for a Silverthorne (CO) Fire Station

The Summit Fire and EMS board of directors on Tuesday chose a concept for a fire station in Silverthorne — a move that comes after months of public pressure at Silverthorne Town Council meetings, SummitDaily.com reported.

Residents on the north side of the county have expressed concerns with Summit Fire & EMS and the town of Silverthorne about not having a fire station on the north side of Interstate 70, the report said. Some residents are dealing with insurance cost increases because they live farther than five miles from the nearest fire truck. In Summit County, this includes Montezuma, parts of Eagles Nest, Three Peaks, Summit Sky Ranch, Acorn Creek and Pebble Creek subdivisions, according to the report.

Fire Chief Travis Davis presented options to the board, each with its own phases.

New Details on $13M Platteville (WI) Fire Station Released

A report says members of the Platteville City Council discussed a proposed concept plan at its regular meeting with city staff and architect Laura Eysnogle from Five Bugles Design, the company that created the plan, WGLR.com reported.

Council members were presented with several layouts and recommendations, including one option that would add a basement for additional storage and training space, the report said. The new fire station is slated to be built at the current location of the OE Gray Early Learning Center, which the city bought last year after it was identified as a suitable site for the station.

The two-story building would cost the city around $13.45 million, according to updated figures from Five Bugles. Those costs partly would be covered by $7 million in federal funds the city received for the project earlier this year, the report said.

The Platteville Fire Department announced on Facebook last month that it received a grant from Compeer Financial for $3,200 to buy new hydrant valves.
