HALE PRODUCTS, INC. is offering free Class 1 electronics, along with a five-year parts and labor warranty, with the purchase of a Qtwo two-stage pump. The free electronics include a Sentry pressure governor and Twister throttle control. "This offering is the perfect combination of the reliable performance of our pumps and the electrical innovations that are driving our industry. It's the complete package," says Bruce Lear, vice president of sales. "We're always listening to our customers and we're constantly looking for ways to provide not only the best products but the best solutions for their needs. This delivers on both." To qualify for this promotion, the pump must be purchased by June 30, 2015.


KME has received a Superior, Gold, rating as a top performing supply contractor for fiscal years 2013 and 2014 from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The award is part of the Department of Defense's Superior Supplier Incentive Program. As a Department of Defense combat support agency, the DLA provides the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, other federal agencies, and joint and allied forces with a variety of logistics, acquisition, and technical services. The agency sources and provides nearly 100 percent of the consumable items America's military forces need to operate, as well as fire apparatus, construction, and barrier equipment.


Dalton Lingbeck   MIDWEST FIRE EQUIPMENT & REPAIR COMPANY (Midwest Fire) has hired Dalton Lingbeck as a new account representative. Lingbeck will work one-on-one with customers during the sales process and build relationships with prospective buyers. Lingbeck is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration. Prior to graduating, Lingbeck completed a year-long internship with the air ambulance interior company Spectrum Aeromed in Fargo, North Dakota. During his internship, Lingbeck assisted with Salesforce CRM, project management, marketing executions, and Web site development.

Jean S. Smock   Jean S. Smock, CEO and owner of P.L. CUSTOM BODY AND EQUIPMENT CO., INC., has announced the promotion of Deborah Smock Thomson to president of the corporation, effective January 1, 2015. Thomson joined the company in 1978 and learned the business by moving up through the ranks under the guidance of her father, the late Martin V. "Bud" Smock. MAGNEGAS CORPORATION has received formal confirmation from the Special Operations Command of the FDNY that it has successfully completed testing of MagneGas® for use as a metal cutting and extraction tool and has placed its first order of fuel. As part of its overall strategy to grow fuel sales, MagneGas has identified fire departments and first responder units as suitable customers for the use of its gas because of the speed of the MagneGas cut, reduction of the heat-affected zone, and flexibility of use. The FDNY tested MagneGas for 18 months. The FDNY Special Operations companies will be adding a MagneGas setup to its arsenal of specialized lifesaving tools.
