Two paramedics with the San Francisco Fire Department had their ambulance attacked by a man they claim randomly approached them. As of now, SFFD does not know of any motive behind this attack.
"From what it sounds like this was just random," said Tim Finch, one of the directors with San Francisco Fire Union 798.

Plenty of people have Ring or other security cameras installed at their home. Now, fire and police departments in Kentucky and Indiana are using that to their advantage.
Ring's Neighbors app is something anybody can use, whether they have a Ring camera or not. It's a way for people to look out for each other and a way for police and fire departments to connect directly with the public.

August 29 will forever be a day that Louisiana residents will remember. Three hurricanes have made landfall on this day.
Those three storms severely altered Louisiana's geography and lives, Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser said reflecting on the anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina, Isaac, and Ida. Most remember exactly where they were, what they were doing, and how it felt to ride out one or all of these hurricanes.

VIDEO: The Deep Wood Fire is now 90 percent contained, and all evacuation orders have been lifted, according to an update from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
According to most recent estimates, the Deep Wood fire, reported just before 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, has covered 109 acres west of Airway Heights.

Crews are still working to contain the 3 acre wildfire off of Weaver Way in Stevens County.
According to Stevens County Fire District 1 (SCFD1), the Weaver Ridge Fire has burned near 3 acres. The fire is almost under control with interior activity. Crews continue working on the scene on Tuesday. One outbuilding has been burned, and firefighters are still working determine what kind of outbuilding.
