Ravens or Chiefs? Maryland, Missouri restaurants bet to feed the AFC winner's fire department

Jimmy's Famous Seafood and Joe's Kansas City BBQ made a bet that the loser of the AFC Championship game Sunday will feed the winner's fire department. Here's the bet: if the Ravens win, Joe's Kansas City will ship enough barbecue to feed the Baltimore City Fire Department. If the Chiefs win, Jimmy's Famous Seafood will send crab cakes to the Kansas City Fire Department.

Tennessee fire department welcomes first student interns

VIDEO: When leaders at Sullivan East High School and Kingsport City Schools approached the Kingsport Fire Department to create a co-op program for students in its fire science classes, Assistant Fire Chief Terry Arnold said the department was interested right away. “It is a great benefit, number one to give back to the community, and for recruitment,” Arnold told News Channel 11.

VIDEO: Garage fire cause under investigation by Kennewick Fire Department

A garage caught on fire Wednesday afternoon in Kennewick on West Yellowstone Avenue according to Deputy Chief Michael Heffner from the Kennewick Fire Department. All Kennewick Fire Department crews have been cleared from the fire, according to Deputy Chief Michael Heffner. Heffner says there were no injuries due to the fire.

Fire on Roylance Farms in Warden destroys maintenance and equipment building

VIDEO: A fire on Roylance Farms in Warden destroyed a maintenance and equipment building early Wednesday morning. According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, the fire was called in before 4 a.m. No injuries were reported and no livestock was lost. Drivers traveling on State Route 17 at State Route 170 are being advised to watch out for emergency vehicles crossing State Route 17.

Firefighters contain Kelso garage fire after 1 hospitalized for facial burns

A garage fire in Kelso, Washington landed one person with facial burns in the hospital. Firefighters from the Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue and Longview Fire Department responded just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of SW 4th Ave., officials said. The single-story home had heavy smoke coming from the garage, according to firefighters’ reports.
