VIDEO: A Detroit firefighter was trapped for hours as other firefighters rushed to get him out after a home collapsed. No major injuries were reported. Detroit firefighters believed they were dealing with a suspected serial arsonist. The same crew had been called to three vacant houses on West Hollywood Avenue just that week.

Assaults on Seattle firefighters increase, jeopardizing public safety

Seattle firefighters have been subjected to more than 40 violent attacks in the last four months, leaving firefighters concerned for their own safety and the impact on the public. Spokane Valley firefighter to be honored with Line of Duty Death Funeral Protocol

The Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) has announced that firefighter Dan Patterson has passed away. Patterson suffered a cardiac arrest on July 21, 2022, after going off shift, according to SVFD. "It is with heartfelt sadness that I share the news of Dan's passing," said SVFD Fire Chief, Frank Soto Jr.
