Cleveland (OH) Fire Truck Involved in Overnight Crash

One of Cleveland’s newest fire trucks was damaged overnight in a crash on the city’s East side, reports cleveland19.com.

A Cleveland Division of Fire apparatus and a Jeep collided around 1 a.m. Friday near the intersection of East 70th Street and Hough Avenue, the report notes.

Two firefighters were taken to the hospital with unknown conditions.

The truck was returning from a garage fire at the time of the accident, officials say.

Gwinnett County (GA) Fire and Emergency Services Getting New $1.4M Ladder Truck

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services is getting a new $1.4 million ladder truck.

County officials recently approved a contract with Sutphen Corp. for a heavy-duty SP95 aerial ladder. It’ll be funded by the 2017 SPLOST program.

Los Angeles (CA) Fire Department Engine Hit in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident

A woman died after a multi-vehicle crash involving a Los Angeles Fire Department engine in North Hills early Thursday, reports ktla.com.

It all started when a vehicle was heading east on Roscoe Boulevard shortly after midnight when the driver allegedly ran a red light, struck a vehicle, and continued driving, the report says.

The car then crashed into a different vehicle carrying a 76-year-old woman, who died at the scene.

The driver wasn’t done, though, as the car kept going and wound up hitting the fire apparatus, according to the report.

When all was said and done, the scene was littered with carnage from the heavily damaged vehicles.

VIDEO: Dump truck crashes into ODOT vehicle on northern Ohio highway

Two drivers were taken to a hospital after a dump truck crashed into the back of an Ohio Department of Transportation vehicle on a northern Ohio interstate Thursday morning. Before 7:20 a.m., an ODOT worker was headed to pick up a street sweeper from another location and had pulled his truck over on the way when he noticed trash on the side of the highway.
