PHOTOS: Several people had to be evacuated after a fire truck crashed into an apartment building on San Antonio's Northwest Side.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex off Hillcrest Drive and W. Quill Drive near Bandera Road.
San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood said it all started when Engine 27 was on its way to a fire call when it was hit by a speeding car.

York County first responders attended a pilot program on April 5 that aimed to teach them how to best serve patients living with dementia.
The program, the first of its kind in the county, included 10 participants from multiple York County agencies.
The program aims to inform first responders about the unique challenges that people with dementia face and teach strategies to effectively communicate with those patients.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: The Phoenix Fire Department rescued a construction worker who tripped and fell into a trench while working in Phoenix late Tuesday morning. It happened near Central Avenue and Interstate 17, right next to a restaurant called Comedor Guadalajara. Arizona’s Family was there when the man was hoisted out of the trench and taken to the hospital just before noon.

VIDEO: Crews responded to a fire at an apartment building in the Rainier Beach area early Wednesday morning. One man in his 30s was transported to the hospital after jumping from his second-story balcony to escape the flames, said fire crews, who used ladders to rescue three other people from their balconies.
