VIDEO: Paramedics are there during some of our worst moments, when we’re most in need, and on Saturday, we got a new class of paramedics. The 50th class of the Medic One Paramedic Training Program graduated.
"They participated in 377 cardiac arrests in the field, they intubated 1,036 patients, that’s an 18% increase over last year’s class," one of the speakers said.

VIDEO: When West Valley Fire-Rescue responded to a call of a house fire on July 9, crews found familiar faces when they recognized the address.
Shauna and Jason Tupy, volunteer firefighters in West Valley, lost their home in the fire. While the structure is still standing, the inside was severely damaged by the heat, smoke and water.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Tacoma Fire Department (TFD) responded to a large fire along the waterfront in the 1100 block of Dock Street at 1:26 a.m. Sunday morning.
TFD first arrived to find significant flames and smoke coming from a large, apparently vacant structure. They reportedly took a defensive strategy, using aerial master streams and ground monitors to extinguish the blaze.

PHOTOS: A fire burned two acres just south of Port Angeles early Saturday morning before multiple responding fire crews were able to knock it down.
Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue was dispatched to reports of smoke and possible fire at 3:49 a.m. on Saturday. Just before they were dispatched, the Port Angeles Fire Department was also notified of a potential fire, with their crew observing a fire up on the hilltop south of Port Angeles.

PHOTOS: A massive four-alarm fire destroyed an apartment building in Philadelphia's Rhawnhurst neighborhood.
