Crews have reopened one lane of a highway after a landslide near Auburn. The slide blocked off both westbound Highway 18 lanes between Highway 167 and Weyerhaeuser Way. Anyone who was trying to go westbound is being forced off to find another route. The Valley Regional Fire Department posted a photo of the debris, which is shown coming down through the retaining wall and onto the roadway.

The Washington Department of Ecology is monitoring the effects from a fire at Nutrien Ag in Sunnyside on Monday night. Loves Park is getting a new fire station following city council approval at Monday’s meeting, which can be seen above.

Council approved the $1.5 million sale for the old Service King building on Rock Valley Parkway.

The city currently has two fire stations: the Grand Avenue facility and the Windsor Road building.
