Four months after the deadly Astroworld tragedy that killed 10 concertgoers, rapper Travis Scott announced a $5 million initiative dubbed "Project HEAL" that he says will be a "catalyst for real change" to heal in the aftermath. Scott, 30, detailed Tuesday a four-pronged project that includes solutions to address "challenges facing today's youth, especially those from marginalized and at-risk communities": $1 million in academic scholarships to historically black colleges and universities, free mental health resources, a creative design education program and a new tech-driven solution for event safety.

Three people were given medical attention and one was taken to the hospital after an apartment fire early Thursday in Belltown. The fire call came in around 2:40 a.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Avenue, at the Bell Tower apartments. The Seattle Housing Authority runs the apartment. Seattle firefighters say a man in the bathroom lobby was found and rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

Incredible body-worn camera video posted by the Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) on Wednesday shows a corporal rescuing a man from inside a burning car in Kennewick. On Monday, Corporal JP Benitez said he was driving by and saw a burning SUV in the Rite Aid parking lot off W Clearwater Ave and Highway 395.

Crews rescued a man Wednesday afternoon whose vehicle veered off Highway 99, crashed into a power pole and fell 25 feet into a gully in Salmon Creek. Clark County Fire District 6, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and AMR were dispatched at about 12:45 p.m. to Northeast Highway 99 near Parkview Drive.
