Court documents say a 29-year-old man accused of attacking his parents and setting their house near Snohomish on fire told a deputy he thought his parents were possessed by demons.
The Daily Herald says Zachary Konicke was charged with first-degree murder and arson in Snohomish County Superior Court Friday.

A home is destroyed after a house fire Saturday morning. Firefighters got reports of a propane tank on fire in the house. Investigators are calling the fire suspicious Saturday evening.
Jenny Neuhauser was inside the home when this all happened. She says there were guys using propane for a heater.
“The propane like lit the top of the thing on fire and there was a fire on top of it and it wouldn't stop,” she says.

How do you thank a firefighter for his sacrifice? When the Milton community wanted to reach out to injured firefighter Daniel Lyon, words weren't enough. Instead, they're using patches, thread and hours of time in a labor of love.
The Friday Friends Quilters are working on the project at the Milton Senior Center.
