VIDEO/PHOTOS: The cause of the deadly fire in Millwood that killed two children and two dogs was due to an improper disposal of cigarettes, according to the Spokane Valley Fire Department. The fire department says the cigarette was disposed of in combustible materials outside the house. Fire crews returned to the home Tuesday morning to continue its investigation of the fire.

A resident who was simply doing laundry in their South Hill apartment caught some pants on fire, which turned into a much bigger problem. At 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews were called to the 13000 block of Meridian Avenue for a balcony fire in a top-floor apartment. Firefighters arrived to find the flames had spread to the roof.

A massive fire burned through the abandoned Uplands Mansion in west Baltimore. VIDEO/PHOTOS: A special screening was held Monday night to celebrate Tulsa firefighters who are starring in Killers of the Flower Moon.
