Officials: 3 firefighters dead, one in critical condition following rowhome fire in Maryland

Three firefighters were killed and one critically injured from a partial building collapse while battling a fire in a vacant rowhome in west Baltimore early Monday, officials said. In a news conference held by Mayor Brandon Scott and the Baltimore City Fire Department, Scott released the names of the victims from the early morning rowhome fire.

Massive fire at New Jersey recycling center; smoke smelled as far away as New York City

VIDEO: After a massive fire broke out at a Newark recycling center early Tuesday, smoke could be smelled as far away as Manhattan and the Bronx, officials said. AIR11 was over the scene Tuesday just after 6 a.m. as two large piles of metal burned at the Eastern Metal Recycling Terminal, located in the Port Newark area of the city.
