VIDEO: Firefighters picked up an unexpected tagalong while training in Colorado Springs recently.
Kara Lewis, videographer and TikTok content creator with over a million followers on the platform, approached Colorado Springs firefighters and asked if she could film them as they trained.

Ash from a 50-to-60 acre fire burning in the Nason Ridge area fell on homes on the south shore of Lake Wenatchee on Wednesday but the fire was still reported to be at least seven miles from the nearest home.
The Nason Fire is burning on the west end of the ridge above Rainy Pass, about 17 miles northwest of Plain.

Arsons in Tacoma are surging, going up nearly 200% from this time last year. The fire department presented new data to Tacoma City Council earlier this week, stating the city saw 82 arsons between June 1 and Aug. 1.
During the same time period in 2020, the city saw 28 arsons.
The latest fire, likely intentionally set, was at a homeless encampment near East 38th and East McKinley Avenue in South Tacoma.

Newly released video in an arson investigation shows a person getting out of a car and throwing what appears to be some type of firebomb at an old church in Battle Ground.
The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office has asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and the vehicle that were seen on security footage — which was recorded just before the Old Cherry Grove Church and a nearby home burned down in early July.
