Woman’s Body Found Behind Hannah-Salem Friendfield (SC) Fire Department Station

A death investigation is underway in Florence County (SC) after authorities found the body of a woman behind the Hannah-Salem Friendfield Fire Department station, reports wmbfnews.com.

County officials confirm that 21-year-old Sheridan Wahl’s body was found around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday behind the station on Highway 378 in Pamplico.

Tampa (FL)-based Wahl was last seen on Sunday in the Myrtle Beach area, the report says. Her autopsy is set for Friday at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Arkansas recycling center 'fully engulfed' after explosive warehouse fire

VIDEO: According to the Little Rock Fire Department, the Goldman Recycling building was "fully engulfed" and created a large dark cloud of smoke on Tuesday evening. The recycling center is located at 1701 E. 14th Street. The Little Rock Police Department asked people to avoid the immediate area. Neighboring the recycling center is a Budweiser distribution center.

Driver dies after hitting Florida firefighter with pickup truck; Firefighter in critical condition

A man is dead after he crashed his pickup truck into two fire trucks, hit a firefighter and finally collided with a fire hydrant. And authorities say they have no idea why he did it. It all started around 3 a.m. Wednesday when first responders got the call of a crash along U.S. 19 at Innisbrook Drive.

Squishy robots give Kansas firefighters remote insight during emergencies

VIDEO: The Olathe Fire Department is testing out new technology that could help keep firefighters safe. Thanks to a new partnership with Squishy Robotics, the department now has access to three new tensegrity robots that can be used to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals. The six-month pilot program will allow firefighters to get hands-on experience operating the new technology.
