Kennewick firefighters discovered the body of a woman in her 60s inside a home after responding to a report of an explosion and fire at the residence. Firefighters responded to the house fire located at 228 North Quincy Street at 6:15 PM Monday evening. The home is located to the east of the Zintel Creek Golf Club.

The Walla Walla Fire Department is presenting its annual “Keep the Wreaths Red” challenge as a way to remind residents preparing for the holidays to keep their families and homes safe. For the rest of the holiday season, each Walla Walla fire station — at the corner of 12th Avenue and Poplar Street and at Wilbur Avenue and Tacoma Street — will have a wreath mounted with red lights.

A fire at a west Olympia auto repair shop started in a back storage area and spread to a rack of tires early Wednesday, according to the Olympia Fire Department. Firefighters were called to the Firestone Complete Auto Care on Harrison Avenue Northwest near Kenyon Street Northwest shortly after 3 a.m.

Mayor Nadine Woodward pledged this week to conduct an audit as the city disclosed it expects the Spokane Fire Department to blow past its 2022 budget by as much as $5 million. Sick leave usage and overtime costs have soared in recent months, according to city officials, who pledged to analyze ways to rein in spending.

FCFP and Classic Fire Protection now operate as one

London, Ont./Toronto, Nov. 30, 2021 – The fire and life safety professionals at FCFP and Classic Fire Protection will now operate as one team, united under their new banner, Classic Fire + Life Safety. Progressively operating as one team since July, the two companies made the official switch yesterday to their new name, colours and operating systems.
