Much of that work is done by a New Jersey firefighter who turned his hobby into a business.

Communities in northwest Washington are looking toward recovery Friday after a torrential storm brought inches of rain in just days and caused multiple rivers to flood, resulting in extensive damage.

The Walla Walla City Council on Wednesday, Nov. 17, unanimously approved a $15 million, three-year contract with firefighters, providing cost of living adjustments to their salaries and condensing their work schedules.

Multiple people were injured when a school bus and a semi-truck crashed on the Wilson River Highway (Highway 6) Friday morning.
A preliminary report from Forest Grove Fire said at least four people sustained non-life-threatening injuries, though crews were still actively working at the scene.
Emergency responders reported via Twitter that there were 30 students on board the bus, and six adults in total were involved.

VIDEO: A van in the 1100 block of Hewitt Avenue was engulfed in flames Thursday morning.
The fire broke out at 9:13 a.m., creating a big plume of smoke in downtown Everett. One fire engine was able to put it out fairly quickly.
No injuries were reported, and there was no danger to nearby buildings, said Everett Fire Department Assistant Fire Marshal Steve Goforth.
