David Yuhas loaded his sons into his car, met up with a friend and headed out on Aug. 18 to the Jensen Memorial Youth Ranch for some fun.
About a quarter mile from the ranch property on Gray Road, Yuhas saw smoke. When he pulled up to the driveway, a man in the truck said there was a fire and he was calling 911.

VIDEO: A firefighter caught on fire while battling flames Saturday at a home in Brick Township. News 12 New Jersey was told he's expected to be OK.
It happened just before midnight in the Herbertsillve section of the township. Officials say all residents in the home got out safely.
All of Brick Township fire companies responded as well as Point Pleasant Boro and Point Pleasant Beach for coverage.

Emergency responders who help stranded drivers on the side of the road are struck and killed nearly four times more than reported. A new study by the AAA Foundation for Safety reveals a disturbing picture of the dangers of helping stranded drivers.
AAA Foundation researchers combed through the data and uncovered 123 roadside assistance providers killed in the U.

Skagit County Fire District 15 has recently shared a new challenge they are facing as a fire department.
In a recent letter, Fire District 15 shared with the community that fire engine unit 1511's recent safety inspection revealed that it has met "out of service" criteria. "1511 has been an aging truck for a long time, and recently it has decomposed into a state that we didn't think it was repairable," said Fire Chief of Skagit County Fire District 15, Stuart Kranick.
