We’re not supposed to forget our heroes. But 25 years ago, the heroes themselves, the ones that helped save the city of Weyauwega, they couldn’t wait to forget.
A train derailment, 469,000 gallons of burning propane, and 14 days wondering if this day would be their last; they didn’t want to be heroes anymore.

When tragedy recently struck a Nashville firefighter and Tennessee Titans season ticket holder, Derrick Henry stepped up to lend a helping hand.
Local firefighter Jeremy Taylor, a father of four girls, recently lost his new Nashville home to a fire. After seeing the news on social media, Henry reached out to the Titans to ask how he could help.

The winter months aren’t stopping lawmakers and elected officials from bracing for this upcoming wildfire season. House Bill 1168 is currently making its way through the Washington State Legislature.
Washington’s 2020 wildfire season was one of the most deadly and destructive on record.
“It was one of our worst seasons ever and frankly, 5 of the last 6 years have been catastrophic,” said Hilary Franz, Washington’s Commissioner of Public Lands.

Washington state reached a grime milestone Wednesday, eclipsing 5,000 COVID-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Washington Department of Health reported 795 new COVID-19 cases, 33 additional hospitalizations and 24 more deaths in the past 24 hours.
State health officials have confirmed 342,236 coronavirus cases, 19,466 hospitalizations and 5,012 deaths since the pandemic began.
