Newport Beach (CA) Officials Break Ground on Fire Station

Members of the Newport Beach City Council broke ground for a new fire station, reports The Los Angeles Times.

The new fire station will replace a station that was built in 1953. In 2014, officials had determined that the fire station would need replaced.

The city purchased a 17,693-square-foot property in which they’ll build the new fire station.

A construction company is on board for the project, which is budgeted for $10 million.

Sioux Falls (SD) Fire Station With Temporary Crew

Sioux Falls’ new fire station is nearing completion and has a temporary crew operating out of the station, reports keloland.com.

The crew has moved due to construction and remodeling at another fire station.

With the opening of a new fire station, more firefighters are needed to fully staff all 12 fire stations. 

Sioux Falls’ last new fire station was in 2014.

Ground Breaking for North Augusta (GA) Fire Station

North Augusta has broken ground for a new fire station that will house the city’s ladder fire trucks, reports The Augusta Chronicle.

The fire station will service high-rise buildings and large retail stores. Five companies made bids for the project, which has a budget of $3.8 million.

Bullhead City Fire District (AZ) Board Approves Construction Manager for Fire Station

The Bullhead City Fire District board approved the choice of a construction manager for rebuilding a fire station, reports Mohave Valley Daily News.

Willmeng Construction recently completed a fire and medical administration building for the City of Maricopa and broke ground on a fire station in the City of Surprise.

The fire district’s scoring committee gave the construction company the highest score of 370.
