Elizabethton (TN) Fire Department’s newest fire truck will be in Tennessee today

According to a report from The Johnson City Press, the Elizabethton (TN) Fire Department’s (EFD’s) latest fire truck, a Pierce, is on schedule to arrive in the state next week.

EFD Chief Barry Carrier said the truck will leave the Pierce Manufacturing assembly line in Florida next week. Originally, the truck was slated to arrive today. Carrier said the truck will be undergoing a predelivery inspection in Piney Flats first.

The truck will be inspected by David Taylor, at the Pierce Service Center. Once it passes, it will head to its new home.

Spokane police believe St. Charles Parish School fire 'not accidental'

Investigators believe someone may have broken in and lit a fire inside St. Charles Parish School early Thursday morning. Spokane Fire crews said there was a possible explosion reported inside the school around 1:40 a.m. and flames could be seen throughout the roof. Spokane Police later said the incident was “not accidental.

Texas firefighters faced ‘mountain of vehicles’ while freeing people from I-35W crash

VIDEO: Firefighters had walked back and forth between their trucks and the pile of cars where passengers were trapped so many times they began to instinctively know where to step, or not to step — a sunroof that wasn’t stable or a hood that was too slick.
