A home in a rural area near Tiger Mountain was destroyed by fire Thursday, officials said.
Crews responded to the scene, in the 25300 block of SE 135th Street, off Issaquah-Hobart Road SE, at about 11 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and 30-foot flames erupting from the residence.
The home was fully ablaze when firefighters arrived, but all the residents had safely evacuated without injury, said Battalion Chief Dana Schutter of Eastside Fire and Rescue.

Spokane County Fire District 4 has a new chief, but he is a familiar face to those living in the sprawling district north of the Spokane city limits.
Assistant Chief Bill Neckels has taken over the position of fire chief while the former chief, Randy Johnson, is staying in the district to take on an executive officer role.

A family of six was displaced after a fire left their duplex in north Lynnwood uninhabitable, according to South County Fire. When fire crews arrived at the scene just after 3 a.m., heavy black smoke billowed from the front of the two-story duplex located in the 3400 block of Lincoln Way. According to the Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office, the fire was most likely a cooking fire and crews managed to contain the fire to the kitchen area.

Containment of the Bartholomew Fire in Medical Lake grew to 80% as of Friday morning, according to the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
The fire is now 200 acres since it began burning near Bartholomew Road and Highway 902 on Thursday afternoon. DNR officials said the cause is unknown. The fire burned 50 acres on Fairchild Air Force Base, according to DNR.

Two nights after protesters targeted three law enforcement buildings, the Seattle Police Department said the destruction needs to stop now, before someone loses their life.
This comes as some protesters appear to be escalating their destruction by using potentially deadly tactics. What is shown in new SPD surveillance video from the East Precinct—is what police are calling a direct attack.
