PHOTO: Surveillance video captured the moment an Albany fire truck overturned on Friday.
The fire truck overturned on South Harding Street Friday afternoon. Crews worked over an hour to get it back turned over and cleaned up.
“I heard a big old boom. That’s it. I just can’t even believe it,” said Angel Caldwell, a witness.

The Howard and Suamico Fire Departments, in tandem with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC), are helping to empower young students to become firefighters through the high school program, Building Up Future Firefighters (BUFF).
The Suamico Fire Department first attended the Bay Port High School career fair two years ago with little hopes of finding many students willing to participate in a firefighting internship.

PHOTOS: A local maintenance worker received an award after saving multiple lives from a house fire near Blewett Pass on Jan. 26.
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) said Brandon Haight was checking conditions on his usual US 97 Blewett Pass route when he noticed an unusual glow and dark smoke coming from behind a residential home near the highway.

PHOTOS: On Sunday afternoon, Feb. 4, 2024, an adult and child capsized in their watercraft while on Puget Sound waters off the shores of Normandy Park.
King County Fire District #2 and South King Fire & Rescue units responded.
KCFD2 launched a rescue boat from the south beach at Three Tree Point, where whitecaps could be seen offshore.

Napavine residents are encouraged to make their way downtown to meet Lewis County Fire District 5’s new chief, Brent Adams.
A lifelong Washington state resident who has had careers in construction, fire and law enforcement, Adams left a lieutenant position at the Key Peninsula Fire Department in Pierce County last month to take on the role of fire chief in Napavine.
