Approval for Erie Fire Department (PA) Rescue Pumper

Erie City Council Wednesday approved nearly $743,000 in funding for the purchase of a 2019 rescue pumper for engine company number 6.  

The new truck will replace a 1999 model rig.More than half the money is from a grant Erie received through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Twenty-Three Injured in New York City Bus and Fire Apparatus Collision

Authorities say the Fire Department vehicle was responding to a medical emergency in the borough's Tremont neighborhood around noon when it turned into the path of the bus. The impact shattered the window by the driver's seat, sending debris flying onto the road.

FoxFury Responds to Camp Fire in Butte County, CA

 

BUTTE COUNTY, California - A team from FoxFury Lighting Solutions arrived in Butte County, California yesterday as part of a massive effort to locate the remains of those missing and dead from the Camp Fire. According to the latest updates, at least 79 people are dead, although the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) expects that number to rise.

Police believe captured Seattle arson suspect wasn't done

An arson spree in North Seattle nearly caught one home on fire. Police said a man set at least eight fires Tuesday morning in Phinney Ridge, Wallingford and Green Lake Park and investigators don't think he planned to stop there. People who escaped some of the fires are relieved the man has been caught.
