Central Pierce Fire & Rescue quickly knocked down a residential fire near Spanaway Lake High School Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported. A 66-year-old man is dead after the vehicle he was driving left the road and hit a tree. Daniel Huntingford of Port Townsend was pronounced dead at the scene Monday afternoon. The single-vehicle wreck occurred on South Discovery Road near Olympic Boulevard, just south of the intersection with Cape George Road.
