Third-Grader Earns Ride in Fond du Lac (WI) Fire Apparatus

Abigail was picked up at her home where she boarded the fire truck and saw firsthand all the technology that firemen use when responding to an emergency, and could feel how it is to ride in a truck this size.

 

Upon their arrival at school, Abigail expressed her gratitude by presenting firefighters Capt. Jim Wamser and Engineer Keith Wendt with a thank you card. They then escorted Abigail to her classroom where they joined Riverside students in the pledge of allegiance before heading back to the station.

Woman, two children displaced after Edmonds house fire Wednesday

An Edmonds woman and her two children were displaced during a fire in the 22100 block of 92nd Avenue West Wednesday. According to South Snohomish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Leslie Hynes, the fire was reported at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday. There were no injuries but the house was a total loss. “The woman was in the backyard at the time of the fire.
