AT&T: LTE speeds will double thanks to FirstNet

AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson told an audience at the J.P. Morgan Global Technology, Media and Communications Conference that AT&T will double LTE speeds for its customers in 500 markets this year. "As we exit this year, we will have 500 markets with that full capability in place, where the LTE speeds will double," he said.

Region: Judge to issue written ruling on restitution for Vancouver teen who ignited Columbia River Gorge fire

A judge Thursday said he'd rule, possibly as early as Friday, on how much a Vancouver teenager should pay in restitution for sparking last year's massive fire in the Columbia River Gorge. The court received 11 requests for a total of $36, 631,687.10 -- an amount the 15-year-old defendant's lawyer called "absurd'' and "absolutely silly.

Train severs boys leg in Washougal

A 15-year-old boy’s leg was severed Wednesday evening when he was struck by a train in Washougal. Camas-Washougal Fire Department firefighter-paramedic Eric Bridges said officials weren’t sure what happened, but at some point while the boy was attempting to get from one side of the tracks near George Schmid Memorial Park to another, he was hurt.
