Semi-truck catches fire on I-405 North in Renton

VIDEO/PHOTOS: The northbound lanes of I-405 in Renton shut down for hours after a semi-truck caught fire on Tuesday morning. US Forest Service spending $25 million to reduce wildfire risk in Washington

According to the Forest Service, the Community Wildfire Defense Grants will help local and regional communities prepare for more intense future wildfire seasons. According to the US Department of Agriculture, climate change will continue to cause longer and more destructive wildfire seasons.

8 dead, dozens injured in Florida crash involving bus carrying farm workers

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Eight people were killed and 40 others hospitalized in a crash involving a bus carrying farm workers in Marion County Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. According to FHP, a 2010 International Bus carrying around 53 farm workers collided with a Ford truck. Troopers said ‘for reasons to be determined,’ the two vehicles collided in 'a sideswiped manner.

San Francisco poised to become first U.S. city to ban 'forever chemicals' in firefighter gear
