Gig Harbor waterfront mansion destroyed by fire; neighbor reports burglary

A large waterfront home was destroyed by a two-alarm fire Wednesday morning near Gig Harbor, emergency officials said. Firefighters rushed to the scene, in the 7700 block of Olympic View Drive NW, at about 3:45 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and flames billowing from the 5,000-square-foot home.

WSU, Spokane Alliance lay ground for mobile medical clinic

Before starting medical school at Washington State University, Carly Celebrezze helped with outreach for Columbia Valley Community Health in Wenatchee. During the summer, clinic staff visited migrant labor camps around the region to provide mental health care, checkups and dentistry services. In the winter, they’d do similar outreach among homeless people.
