An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of starting a suspicious fire that gutted a Bellevue mosque last week, police said. The arrest follows an investigation into the blaze at the Islamic Center of Eastside at 14700 Main Street, which had previously been damaged by arson in January 2017 and was vacant at the time of the latest fire.

A victim is being treated after fire broke out Thursday morning at a Kent apartment building, emergency officials said. Crews responded to the scene, an apartment building near the intersection of 106th Avenue SE and 264th Street, at around 8:45 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and flames there.

A driver is accused of pulling a gun on a Grant County Fire District 5 firefighter who had responded after the man rolled his car near Moses Lake. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is recommending an assault in the first degree charge against 27-year-old Moses Lake resident Andrew Reed in connection to the alleged assault back on Feb.
