Milford Fire Department Trains on New Truck

The $300,000 pumper truck was ordered a year ago and was finished and delivered to the department at the beginning of this year.

The trucks placed out of service were purchased in 1989 and 1999, respectively. Houstoun said the two trucks were spending a lot of time in the shop, needing repairs, and maintenance costs were increasing.

Proposed Florida law would grant first responders worker's comp for PTSD

Break a leg on the job and workers compensation will pay the medical bills and cover lost wages.
