Brockton firefighter and amateur golfer Matt Parziale had a dream come true on Wednesday when he hit the links alongside his inspiration, four-time Masters champion Tiger Woods. Parziale, Woods, and professional golfer Fred Couples set off around noon to share a practice round on Wednesday at Augusta National Golf Club ahead of the first round of the Masters.

Battle Ground officials are seeking public comment from residents about the city’s fireworks policies. Residents can fill out a survey on the city’s website, www.cityofbg.org, until 5 p.m. April 27 and answer a few questions about fireworks. The results will be provided to the councilors at their May 7 council meeting.

Kennewick firefighters and firefighters from Benton County Fire District 1 have put out a large brush fire in Zintel Canyon. The fire burned out of control just off Ely Street in south Kennewick, Tuesday night shortly after 10 p.m. Fire officials tell Action News the fire is suspicious. Firefighters said they have responded to a couple other fires in the area in the past month.
