An early-morning phone call may have saved the lives of residents when a fire broke out Saturday in a Pasco apartment complex.
A resident at the Tri-Cities Vista Affordable Housing complex called property manager Adelita Alvarado around 2:30 a.m. to say something was going on at the building and she needed to get out there.

One person was found unconscious after a fire broke out inside an apartment in Bellevue early Friday morning.
The fire broke out in a first floor apartment just before 6 a.m. In the 14500 block of SE 24th Street, according to Bellevue Fire officials. The victim was found in the hallway by fire.
Medics were doing CPR on the victim as they were rushed to a local hospital, as of the last report by Bellevue Fire, but no other details about the victim's condition were given.

A fire in an abandoned home in Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood kept firefighters busy Friday morning.
Flames were found shooting from the home in the 5600 block of Brooklyn Avenue just after 5 a.m. Firefighters had to fight the fire from the outside, eventually getting it under control within an hour.

Two new fire engines costing the city $2 million are set to be added to Round Rock Fire Department's growing fleet of emergency vehicles. The Velocity PUC Pumper and Aerial Platform vehicles - at a cost of $725,454 and $1.3 million, respectively -are part of the Fire Department's semiregular purchases to either add or replace vehicles serving the greater Round Rock area.
