Fire Station near Eastgate Mall to Be Expanded

Union Township is expanding a fire station near Eastgate Mall for $1.3 million. The township got a $259,500 capital safety grant from the Ohio Development Services Agency to offset some of the cost of work to be done on Station No. 49 at 718 Old State Route 74.

“The roof needed to be replaced even if we weren't doing this project. Now we can combine the roof replacement with the expansion into one project,” McGraw said.
