County leaders broke ground Monday for the new Rural Metro station at the end of the cul-de-sac on Norman Jack Lane, off of Emory Road near Interstate 75. The spot right now it is just a piece of land with overgrown grass and weeds with a couple trees beyond them.
Construction on the property should begin Tuesday and be complete in six to eight months, Bagwell said. The $1.3 million structure will have four bay doors and have a ladder truck, pumper truck and a rescue truck.
