One person is dead and seven others injured -- three of whom are in critical condition -- after the Fire Ball ride at the Ohio State Fair broke apart in mid-air Wednesday night, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Four RVs at a vehicle storage lot in east Vancouver were destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning. Firefighters were called to 606 N.E. 192nd Ave. just before 11:30 a.m. for the reported fire, Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Pete Adams said. Several explosions were reported prior to firefighters’ arrival and crews could see plumes of black smoke from the highway, Adams said.
