Update: Arrest made in the Investigation of July 2nd Fire at Marysville Value Village

Last night the suspect in the Value Village fire that occurred in the early morning hours of July 2nd turned himself into Investigators at the Marysville Police Department. The suspect, a 36-year-old Marysville man, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for a felony charge of Reckless Burning 1st degree.

Fire official: Man suffers burns after suspected hash oil explosion in Hazel Dell

A man remains hospitalized after suffering burns from an explosion that fire officials suspect was caused by an attempt to extract hash oil at his Hazel Dell apartment Saturday. Firefighters with Clark County Fire District 6 were called to The Ridge Apartments, 6208 N.E. 17th Ave., at about 3:30 p.m.

Sag Harbor Fire Department To Receive State Grant To Improve Firehouse Kitchen

The Sag Harbor Fire Department has been approved to receive a $250,000 state grant to expand and renovate its firehouse on Brick Kiln Road.
The state funds will be used to make improvements to the frequently-used firehouse kitchen, including its fire protection system and its heating and hot water systems. The flooring of the firehouse’s apparatus room also will be replaced.

Lead Mines Rescue Squad (VA) Receives Grant to Replace Ambulance

"They're going to be driving through creeks and very bumpy rolls and maybe going through cow pastures. That takes wear and tear on vehicles. So you might say the ambulance is a 2006 model with X miles but at the same time those are hard miles," said Jeremy Farley, grant coordinator.

A grant totaling $156,632 will enable The Lead Mines Rescue Squad to buy a new ambulance. The grant was awarded to them by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services.

Fort Kent (ME) Ambulance Driver Falls Asleep, Crashes into Ditch

The Maine State Police are investigating an accident involving an Ambulance that happened Wednesday.
According to Maine State Police Sergeant Jeffrey Clark, Russell Jandreau, was drivng a Fort Kent Ambulance heading northbound on Rt 11 in Masardis when he fell asleep in the middle of a curve.

Jandreau woke up and tried to correct the ambulance but it was too far into the ditch.

The ambulance hit a utility pole and rolled over. Police says Jandreau and one other ambulance attendant were transported to TAMC with non-life threatening injuries.
