Ambulance Stolen from Maryland Hospital Recovered

An ambulance stolen from a hospital in Washington's Maryland suburbs has been recovered outside a convenience store. Local news outlets report a Prince George's County fire department transport unit with no patients inside was stolen on Tuesday from a hospital in Cheverly, and tracked to a 7-Eleven store two miles away.
Fire department spokesman Mark E. Brady says a suspect had been taken into custody, but further details were not released.

This is the second reported time in less than two months that an ambulance has been stolen from Prince George's Hospital Center.

Fire Apparatus Collides with Van En Route to Harris County (TX) House Fire

A fire truck on the way to a house fire collided with a van in northwest Harris County. It happened on Antoine and Breen just before 6:30 a.m. The Northwest Volunteer Fire Department fire truck was on the way to a house fire on the 9000 block of Bold Forest.
SkyEye video showed the intersection where the crash occurred. There's damage to the front of what appears to be a service van.

Wildfire near Columbia River is 35 percent contained; highway reopens

Firefighters are grateful for cooler weather Thursday as they continue battling the Dry Creek Fire burning on the Washington state side of the Columbia River near White Salmon. As of Thursday morning, the wildfire measured 337 acres and was 35 percent contained. According to Northwest Incident Management Team 6, the fire is burning on Washington State Department of Natural Resources and private timber company lands in southern Klickitat County.

Lynnwood fire crews respond to fire south of Everett started by fireworks

Illegal fireworks are being blamed for an early morning fire that caused more than $100,000 damage to a warehouse in unincorporated Snohomish County south of Everett. An employee called 9-1-1 at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday to report flames coming from a skylight in the 45,000-square-foot warehouse in the 2800 block of 119th St.

Bellevue high-rise catches fire early Thursday

A fire at the top of a building near the U.S. Bank Plaza in downtown Bellevue caused a major response to the city early Thursday morning. Firefighters responded to the 10800 block of NE 8th St. to find flames coming from the top of a high-rise building there. Crews put out the fire over the course of several minutes, and they limited it to the penthouse there.
