Pasco County Fire Rescue is temporarily closing Fire Station 39 due to a bat colony taking up residence in the building.
The fire chief tells ABC Action News, bats have been living on their property for years, but recently have become brazen and now pose a serious health risk to firefighters.
According to the chief, they've spotted bats flying in living quarters, including bunk rooms, bathrooms and the weight room.

A paraglider who was trapped on a cliff face in Grant County has been rescued by a military helicopter.
At about 4 p.m. Sunday, rescuers were called out for a paraglider stuck on a cliff face, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
A helicopter from the Yakima Firing Range arrived from across the Columbia River to make the rescue, said Kyle Foreman of the GCSO.

Three people are recovering after a nasty rollover crash in downtown Seattle.
The crash occurred in a construction zone near the Bank of America Plaza late Saturday night.
The car flipped and hit a pedestrian, Seattle Fire says. A driver and passenger were inside the car at the time of the crash. Firefighters say the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and was pinned between a construction rig and his own car's steering wheel.

The Snohomish County Fire District 1 Board of Commissioners has unanimously approved a new contract with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 1828 representing the district’s more than 200 professional firefighters. The action was taken at the fire district’s June 6 board meeting.
