Bellevue and Kirkland firefighters respond to house fire near Lake Washington

PHOTOS: Bellevue firefighters assisted Kirkland with a house fire Thursday afternoon, according to the Bellevue Fire Department. At about 6:30 p.m., firefighters were on the scene of the two-story house fire in the 5600 block of 105th Avenue Northeast. Smoke could be seen from Lake Washington Boulevard.

Yakima County grapples with firefighting restrictions in no man's land areas

VIDEO: If you need medical help or are in danger of a wildfire, you will normally call 911. But what if they can't respond? A large portion of our county is not covered by any fire departments. This means if you get hurt or there is a fire in certain rural areas, state law restricts firefighters from helping, though they say they still do because it's the right thing to do.

VIDEO: Fiery cement tanker explodes near US 75 in north-central Texas

Video of a cement tanker engulfed in flames near U.S. 75 in Richardson showed the vehicle explode. The cement tanker was near the intersection of East Collins Boulevard and North Glennville Road. The Richardson Fire Department told WFAA the boom on a cement tanker hit a power line, which caused it to catch fire.

Firefighters roll dice for chance to drive Denver Nuggets in victory parade

VIDEO: During the Denver Nuggets championship parade today, the team and their families will ride on Denver fire trucks. Nikola Jokic, number 15, will be on a rig from Station 15. Jamal Murray, number 27, will be on a rig from Station 27. Station 35 doesn’t know who they will be assigned, but the crew is excited.

Inside Virginia's World-Class Urban Search and Rescue Team

PHOTOS: Jeff Lewis was a freshman at George Mason University in 1986 when a moment of helplessness led him to his life’s calling. Driving home from class, he was one of the first to stop at the scene of a car accident where he found four seriously injured teenagers. Two boys had been ejected, and two girls remained belted inside the vehicle.
