A former Oklahoma firefighter is suing his former department after he says he was wrongfully terminated. Greg Chapman was a firefighter with the Tulsa Fire Department for nearly 20 years when a Facebook comment brought his career to a halt. According to FOX 23, Chapman commented on a viral video of a police officer threatening to take a man’s child away after mistaking him for a fugitive.

An Olympia family escaped with their lives overnight after an alert dad noticed fire spreading in the ceiling near their fireplace of their home, fire officials said. Firefighters responded to the scene, in the 300 block of West Bay Drive NW in Olympia, at about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday after the man called 911.

A structure fire that broke out on Griffiths Point Road destroyed an outbuilding Wednesday afternoon. According to Bill Beezley, East Jefferson Fire-Rescue spokesman, Fire-Rescue and Port Ludlow fire crews responded to a call at 4:30 p.m. to find a roughly 25-foot-by-15-foot outbuilding — similar to a large garage of workshop — engulfed in flames.
