Snohomish County Fire District 3 and Fire District 7 finish merger

Snohomish County Fire District 3 in Monroe will soon be gone. As of Saturday, the district will be merged permanently into Fire District 7, based in Clearview. The two agencies have combined firefighters, administrations and budgets. New decals and uniform patches are in the works, spokeswoman Heather Chadwick said.

Woman charged with murder, arson in blaze that killed two Delaware firefighters

The fire that killed two Wilmington Fire Department firefighters was intentionally set by one of the home’s residents, authorities said. Beatriz Fana-Ruiz, 27, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree arson, four counts of assault of a first responder and seven counts of reckless endangerment.

Former New Jersey firefighter gets $750K, ‘the truth’ in civil case

Seattle Fire Department Uses NPPGov/FireRescue GPO Contract for Major Purchase

The City of Seattle and the Seattle Fire Department have completed a major purchase using the NPPGov / FireRescue GPO MES contract. This expensive and mission critical life safety equipment procurement was due to a department-wide upgrade to the type of breathing apparatus their firefighters use to meet the current NFPA 1981 Standards.
