Seattle firefighters rushed to a new, multi-family building near Ballard Sunday morning. The fire tore through the exterior of a four-story wood-frame building -- along 15th Avenue Northwest. One of the residents told a KIRO 7 photojournalist on the scene that they were woken up by their dog. The fire appears to have started on or near the outside in a garbage bin, and then crept up the building.

A fourth wildfire has been discovered in Olympic National Park, where blazes sparked by lightning earlier this month continue to grow. Firefighters continue to monitor and address four fires currently burning in Olympic National Park, said Lisa Wilkolak, National Parks Service fire information officer, on Saturday.

The state Department of Natural Resources has issued a burn ban on DNR-protected lands throughout the entire state. DNR officials said in a news release that due to warm temperatures and below normal precipitation in western Washington, the burn ban issued previously for eastern Washington will apply to the entire state starting Friday.
